Prevalence of ACEs Among South Asians Living in Minnesota
Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota
The aim of this project is to measure the prevalence of ACEs in South Asian communities in the Twin Cities by implementing a modified version of the CDC-Kaiser Permanente ACE questionnaire tailored to suit specific stressors that are relevant to South Asian communities. In the long run, we hope that this pilot will lay a foundation for building a more comprehensive body of knowledge on the prevalence and, in time, effects of ACEs specific to immigrant communities in Minnesota.
Our community partner is SEWA-AIFW, a non-profit organization in Minnesota that provides healthcare and education resources for South Asian families and communities. It is supported by the Minnesota Department of Health through a grant.
